HivemindOS manual
Separate Hive Superbrain workspaces
Each workspace has its own memory, skills, and saved keys, and nothing carries over between them. Most people only need the default Main shared brain. Create another workspace when the separation itself matters, not just because you started a new project.
When to create one
- Two clients must not share memory or keys.
- A bot needs a narrow brain and skill set.
- A team needs its own shared context.
- An experiment should be easy to throw away without touching your main brain.
For ordinary projects, stay in your Main shared brain so agents keep the full shared context.
Create or switch workspaces
- In the HivemindOS sidebar, select the workspace name directly beneath the HivemindOS mark. The chooser shows every workspace as a tile.
- To switch, select a tile. HivemindOS reloads into that workspace.
- To add one, select New workspace, enter a name, and select Create workspace. It opens right away; there is nothing else to configure. Its vault starts with a
Shared Context.mdand aMemory/Core Memory.mdtemplate, the two notes every agent session reads first.
Switching workspaces never merges, moves, or deletes the contents of either workspace.
Use workspaces from a terminal
hive-workspace # show the active workspace
hive-workspace-add # add one with guided prompts
hive-workspace-switch # switch with an arrow-key chooser
For automation, pass a workspace id to a command:
HIVE_WORKSPACE_ID=support-bot hive-brain answer "latest commitments"
