Agent-Managed Bookings
Bookings lets an approved agent check your availability and create, reschedule, or cancel appointments. Any change that affects another person needs your review and confirmation.
Choose a booking service
| Path | Runs where | Best for | Authority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connected Cal.com | Cal.com’s hosted service | Existing Cal.com accounts | Cal.com account and API key |
| Local Cal.diy | A user-selected HivemindOS fleet machine | Personal, experimental, and user-owned self-hosting | The user’s machine, Docker volumes, and API key |
| Managed Hivemind Bookings | Official HivemindOS cloud infrastructure | Always-on public booking pages for agent-run operations | HivemindOS subscription and hosted booking services |
Connect Cal.com from Integrations. You can then ask naturally, for example “find three available times next week.” If more than one booking service is connected, choose which one to use before approving a change.
Managed Hivemind Bookings
Managed Hivemind Bookings is the always-on option, live at book.hivemindos.app. It is included with active subscriptions at no extra charge:
| Tier | Public profiles | Event types | Bookings created per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plus | 1 | 10 | 1,000 |
| Pro | 1 | 50 | 5,000 |
| Max | 1 | 250 | 25,000 |
There is no separate price and no free managed allowance. Local Cal.diy is the free self-hosted option. Limits are enforced by HivemindOS servers, and public access ends if your subscription is no longer active.
Confirmation emails are not sent yet. Instead, the confirmation page offers an .ics calendar download.
Host Cal.diy yourself
Cal.diy is the self-hosted edition of Cal.com. Its makers describe it as for personal, non-production use.
Before you start
- Docker with Docker Compose, running.
- About 8 GB of free memory and about 40 GB of temporary Docker storage for the first build. The finished images are also large (about 7.3 GB for web and 9.6 GB for API).
- SMTP settings, if you want confirmation emails. Email is off by default. The Cal.diy success page may say “email sent” even without SMTP; HivemindOS shows email readiness separately.
Install
- Open Apps & Services → Catalog → Cal.com / Cal.diy.
- Choose where to install it: This Mac or another linked machine.
- Start the install. HivemindOS downloads a reviewed, pinned version and builds it.
The service is reachable only from that machine: the web app on 127.0.0.1:3000 and the API on 127.0.0.1:3002. Its database stays private. Versions don’t update automatically.
Make your booking page public
- Sign in to Tailscale with MagicDNS and HTTPS turned on.
- Choose Publish and enter the confirmation
CONFIRM_CAL_DIY_PUBLISH.
Your page becomes available at https://<machine>.<tailnet>.ts.net. Unpublish makes it local-only again.
Then connect the Cal.com integration to it with:
CALCOM_API_BASE_URL=https://<machine>.<tailnet>.ts.net/api/v2- an API key created inside that Cal.diy account as
CALCOM_API_KEY
An agent on the same machine can also use http://127.0.0.1:3002/v2.
Back up or remove it
Back up saves a compressed database backup. Copy it somewhere safe before uninstalling HivemindOS.
The HivemindOS uninstaller asks separately (default No) before deleting Cal.diy. Saying yes deletes its data, settings, and backups for good.
How agents make changes
Reading availability needs no confirmation. Every change needs a stable 8–200 character idempotency key, so a retry never books twice, plus its exact confirmation:
- create:
CONFIRM_BOOKING_CREATE - reschedule:
CONFIRM_BOOKING_RESCHEDULE - cancel:
CONFIRM_BOOKING_CANCEL - configure profile or event type:
CONFIRM_BOOKING_CONFIGURATION
Before booking, the agent checks open times and shows you the attendee, event type, time, time zone, and service for review. The booking service still has the final say on conflicts.
Bookings for Zero Human Companies
A company agent can manage bookings only while working on an active company task that is assigned to it, within the company’s integration limits, and with the exact confirmation for each change. You stay in charge of public pages, funding, limits, and confirmations. See Zero Human Companies.
