HivemindOS manual

Hive Fusion

Hive Fusion turns a way of working into a reusable skill for your whole hive. Describe the outcome you want, and HivemindOS finds the agents, apps, tools, and skills you already have, then drafts one procedure you can check and reuse.

You don’t need to know which machine hosts a tool or which provider does each step.

Create a reusable skill

  1. Open More → Hive Fusion, or ask an agent to turn a process into a shared skill.
  2. Describe the result, the inputs, the expected output, and any steps that need your approval.
  3. Review the capabilities HivemindOS found and the workflow it proposes.
  4. Save the skill to Hive Superbrain.
  5. Test it on a small task before you rely on it.

Creating a skill doesn’t run anything. Sending, publishing, spending, and deleting still ask for the usual permissions and confirmations.

Example

Turn the latest Base news into an X post with a matching image, and send it to my Telegram.

Fusion turns this into a skill that knows the job needs research, writing in your voice, image generation, and delivery. It doesn’t hard-code today’s image provider or machine address.

How it works

Fusion searches everything the hive can do, including:

  • skills in your shared brain;
  • agent tools;
  • connected apps and the actions they offer;
  • dashboard actions;
  • your workspace and docs.

It then ranks what it found, keeps the parts the task needs, and writes the skill to your vault at Skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md. Words like “send”, “create tasks”, or “post” are treated as required steps, so delivery doesn’t get lost.

The saved skill records:

  • the original request and a short description;
  • the capabilities it chose, and others it considered;
  • steps to search again for capabilities before each run;
  • safety rules for side effects, secrets, and private addresses.

Because the skill searches again each time it runs, it keeps working if an app moves to another machine or you install a better tool later.

Three Fusion skills

Skill Use it when
hive-skill-fusion You want a reusable capability, such as “a skill that finds Base news, writes an X post, makes an image, and sends it to Telegram.”
hive-workflow-fusion You want several steps run together as one workflow using skills, agents, apps, and tools.
hive-aeon-fusion You want a skill or workflow to run on a schedule or in the background with AEON.

What a fused skill must do

  • Search for capabilities again before it runs.
  • Leave out private network addresses, local file paths, secrets, chat IDs, and wallet keys.
  • Ask before side effects when there is more than one possible target.
  • Show proof when it finishes, such as a saved file, message receipt, or task ID, or give a clear reason it failed.
